I've enjoyed your pictures, and posts. I came upon your blog as an accident. My family and I are in Samara, Russia and I was googling what happy meal toy McDonalds had and your blog came up. I've enjoyed reading all your adventures! I can definitely relate to the visa woes too!!!

Natalie, thanks for stopping by. Love to hear more about you and yours. We can share visa tales! (Oh, and I like McDonald's too... but I won't fight you over the Happy Meal toys! haha)

Hi Eileen! We met at English club on Tuesday. I mentioned that February, 14 is the day of the liberation of Rostov during the second world war.

If you're interested, I can send you a few links to the sites with photos of old Rostov or just give you CD. My email is oleg @ demax.ru.

By the way, you blog is great! You cover so many interesting topics!

I went back and read you posting on the stadium. It is such an interesting engineering feat to build a retractable roof on a building that is not square. I know when the did it on the stadium in Toronto, a round building it was very complicated and finally worked out. You brother has an interesting job.
